My point was AMD needed that 25% advantage to reach 1Ghz.
Where as intel achieves 1Ghz with AL interconnect.
Deducing from the conditions above, if 25% speed up is applied to PIII then you should see the same masks produce parts which can run 1.25 GHZ or more right.

RE So are you recommending shorting Intel.
Nope I am not recommending anything. I just made an observation based on the AMD press release. In hindsight I shouldn't have.
