People who cried fascism over the ATT trial forgot to shout oppression when Sprint and MCI made the scene with cheap long-distance. Just FYI, the AT&T and MSFT cases are apples and oranges. The old Telephone was totally in bed with the government. Regulated rates, exclusive markets where potential competitors were forbidden by law to enter, customers forced to rent their phone from the company, etc. MSFT's success is completely the result of their winning in the marketplace. Coercive vs noncoercive, apples and oranges. $30 million well-spent with Microsoft going as strong as ever. I believe that it's a tad over 30 mil by now. I suggest you mail a contribution to the DOJ to assist them. I'm sure it will give you a warm, fuzzy feeling, knowing that you're helping to save the world from the evil empire. -JB
