Robert,
You said, "I know you read Watchman Nee."
I don't think I have ever read anything from Watchman Nee in my life. Why do you presuppose that I do or did?
We are not understanding each other here...we are at an impass. I think you are blind, and you think I am. It's frustrating to say the least, so I know what you are going through as well. And I said before, if we can't get through this, we can't get to my final point.
Let me try a different approach....based upon something you said. Maybe this will work......
"Certainly Pharaoh could have chosen to let Gods people go, but he didn't. God in His foreknowledge knew that before it occurred. "
How can you believe this, and not believe God had foreknowledge of what our decision was going to be, to have faith in him or not? Obviously you are basing the heart hardening on Gods foreknowledge of Pharaoh's decisions.
You keep limiting God to have to deal with our sinful nature, but our sinful nature did not even exist before the world existed. God let us make our decision freely, without our sinful natures getting in the way. He was not restricted by our "fallen" nature. God could find out our decision, without having to deal with our sinful ways. Can't you see that this is possible? Or do you make God limited in his ability about foreseeing our decision? Do you think God is limited to see what our decisions before we are born? Do you think he could not include and exclude any factor (including sin) he wanted too, to see what our decision was going to be?
It's funny how you can not see what I am saying, but clearly see how God foreknew about Pharaoh.
Why can't you see that?
