Hello Rande;

I am glad that LPTHA is a topic tonight. I didn't know whether to respond to that discussion or the 'what the analysts really means.'

Another post for the lurkers and newbies.

I have learned precious little else in the last year than that you can gauge the true outlook of the brokerages outlook of an issue by their recommendation. I don't know if you were kidding but I feel your post # 20060 (please somebody pm me re: getting the link) is right on. The level of manipulation I feel now is unprecedented only because of the higher level of small investor participation. More people know they're getting the shaft. I think that post s/b the small investor's mantra. If a little guy did that it would be bars - not martini!!!

LPTHA has been an amazing story. I just ran a search for lptha for this thread only and it only took me back to 1/20. The discussion on this thread goes back much further. I keep looking back at my Schwab statements to make sure I really did buy at 9 1/8 on 11/30. No wonder the portfolio looks better. Taking profits along the way has allowed 25 share purchases of jdsu, adap, cmgi, qcom. These shares will split some day & I will have a hundred or so of each. Nice plays for a super small investor that can't watch during the day. Thank again, Rande.

******OT******

I'm having a little trouble with something. Yesterday, my wife's grandmother, 89 years old, was inside her house when an intruder broke inside, brutally beat her, strangled her with a rope, left her for dead, stole her car keys and car.

She is alive & will physically survive. She crawled outside to alert a neighbor. 911 was called. The 17 year old kid was apprehended within 30 minutes.

I haven't had a grandparent in over 20 years. How many of us even know an 89 year old? This lovely woman is a role model for us all. I had lunch with my best friend, talked to my closest coworkers and have spoken to clergy. I cannot in my mind imagine any human being brutally attacking an elderly woman with death as a motive to steal a car. Not even in wartime. I am really having some trouble with this. If you know an elder, they are us IF we're lucky. Give one a hug tomorrow. God help us all.

Sincerely,
John
