Meathead, disagree with your point re: the timing was not out of line with other warnings from GTW and IBM who acutally announced after the Q ended. GTW and IBM warned the street since the announcement of the qtr before last that y2k was going to be a issue for the last qtr. As a matter of fact, Dell's management of the Street's expectation is so bad that it ranks among the likes of BMC Software's preannouncement. Consider us lucky that we did not get the kind of hit that BMC did. I believe the timing was not out of line with other warnings from GTW and IBM who actually announced after the Q ended.
