Jack, I think we are seeing BCE being significantly discounted because it can be classifies as a holding company. Remember, it took the rumor of a Nortel spin-off to reduce the huge discount that BCE was trading at compared to the value of the companies it owned. Now we have the same issue with BCE Emergis (IFM.TO) and its other holdings. I suspect that in two to five years, Emergis could also be a spin-off candidate, if BCE wishes to maximize shareholder value.
