mula - <Intel demonstrates a PIII on aluminum interconnect at 1 GHZ, where as AMD needs copper to demo a 1.1 Ghz chip? That speaks volumes about Athlon design. If you take copper interconnect advantage over aluminum one should get around 20 to 25% speedup. They played their last trump card to catch up with intel.> mula, I don't know about this. I wouldn't be surprised to see 1GHz Athlons on the Al process. Of course I don't know for sure, but I would not be surprised. Just my .02. PB
