C++ continues to dominate Delphi and Java crushed Delphi easily, after spotting it at least a three-year headstart.
Maybe, but even YEARS after your predictions, there continue to be few comprehensive Java applictions, and none that classify the language as "general purpose". YEARS after your predictions, C++ continues to be more in use as a general purpose language. Hell, even COBOL continues to be used more heavily than Java. Fact is, languages don't come and go as quickly as you asserted they did.
that's why I rarely post here since you just get meaningless noise from a few regulars.
Yes, well, I'm picking up a little meaningless noise right now...
In short: forget Delphi, it's just an annoyance that does not provide any advantage over Java or C++ for that matter.
I don't like it either. But if I have to choose between Delphi and Java for a general purpose language, the choice is clear. Java, YEARS LATER, is still not ready for prime time.
The C++ and Java products face stiff competition including freeware.
No one, I repeat No one, offers a C++ product as powerful as BCB. No one can touch it. Rod, why don't you tell us which c++ product rates with C++ Builder in terms of development time and IDE. In fact, even with the true RAD development, the compiler performs almost as well as the MSFT product. So which one is it that rates with BCB?
You are so full of it. |
