Swisstrader: Dollar vs yen effects

Don't believe these silly analysts. They can't have it both ways. First they say that Japanese stock prices fall when
the yen STRENGHTENS vs. the dollar (increasing the price of exports) and now they say that the prices fall when the yen WEAKENS against the dollar.

All they do is this. (1) They see the price of the stocks fall. (2) They try to come up with some explanation for it. There is, in many cases, no causality, and we are just looking at normal statistical fluctuations and regressions toward the moving average. Just my opinion. But it actually amuses me to read this pap. They always can explain a mini-rise or a mini-fall in the stock price.

Usually these corrections are due to a withdrawal of some previously applied factor. For example. People bought Softbank like crazy a while ago, as they were afraid that the stock might zoom, given the end to the FOMC scare, and to the removal of limits, and to the opening of the new trusts. Now it seems there is no rush to buy, the prices may fall a bit, etc. etc. Just normal activity.
