ITXC Offers Internet Portals Web-to-Phone Service Under Their Own Brands
Service Available NOW! - Customers Include Dialpad.com, MediaRing.com, and Onebox.com
PRINCETON, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 8, 2000--ITXC Corp© (NASDAQ: ITXC - news) has become the first Voice ASP (Application Service Provider) with the introduction of ITXC webtalkNOW!(SM) Service.

This wholesale web-to-phone service operating over ITXC.net(TM)- ITXC's global Internet telephony infrastructure providing consistently high quality for real-time voice and voice-enabled e-commerce, gives portals, web communities, computer manufacturers, and communications web sites a turnkey solution for offering self-branded, retail web-to-phone service to their customers.

A recent survey of 1,000 AOL members by the Myers Group and Greenfield Online found that ``50% of those responding wished for telephone services via the NET.'

John Cha of Frost & Sullivan commented ``In the highly competitive Internet portal market, companies are constantly seeking new services to differentiate their offerings and to increase their subscriber base. ITXC's web-to-phone service enables Internet portals to expand their services with PC-to-phone calling services and to differentiate as well as broaden their revenue streams. ITXC offers its expertise on VoIP technology to enable Internet portals to tap into the IP telephony market that is expected to exceed $90 billion by 2006.'

``ITXC WWeXchange Service(SM) currently carries more than a million minutes of phone-to-phone traffic over the Internet via ITXC.net every day,' said Tom Evslin, Chairman and CEO of ITXC. ``The proven quality of ITXC.net is the infrastructure for our new Voice ASP business, ITXC webtalkNOW! Service. Since this network is already in place, we are in a position to get our new web customers up and serving their users as quickly as we have been bringing traditional carriers on line.'

As a pure wholesaler with the largest global voice over Internet telephony network of affiliates, ITXC is uniquely qualified as a Voice ASP to enable portals and web communities to immediately offer web-to-phone calling to their members.

ITXC's experience managing consistent quality of service for calls over the public Internet, using its BestValue Routing(TM), is a key capability for providing web-to-phone calling since web visitors are already connected directly to the public Internet.

Since April of 1998, ITXC has been providing wholesale international long distance over the Internet with quality so good that 9 of the top 12 U.S. facilities-based international carriers, three of the top European carriers, and 10 PTTs have chosen its service as part of their traditional phone-to-phone offerings. Now this carrier-grade service is available on the Web.

ITXC webtalkNOW! Service helps portals and web communities build their own brands and revenues instead of sending their customers and their revenues away, via hyperlinks, to third party retail PC-to-phone service providers. Major portals have demonstrated the power of offering their customers email accounts; the next big win is to add voice calling.

With ITXC webtalkNOW! Service, the portal becomes the center of communications. This is the beginning of the enhanced services that analysts have been forecasting would be the promise of Internet telephony.

ITXC began offering web-to-phone service on a wholesale basis to MediaRing.com, a leading provider of Internet voice communication services listed in the Stocks Exchange of Singapore, in December and immediately generated customer traffic at a runrate of over a million minutes a month after just three weeks of service. MediaRing has proven to be very successful internationally.

Mediaring.com's CEO, Ede Phang commented ``Mediaring.com is extremely pleased to have been the first customer of ITXC webtalkNOW! Services. Using ITXC.net has given us high quality termination for our world-wide user base. The size and reach of ITXC.net was one of the strongest reasons for choosing ITXC. This combined with ITXC's adherence to international standards meant that implementation of the service was a simple process.'

Dialpad.com announced today that it will be using ITXC webtalkNOW! Service as its second service provider. Dialpad.com is the U.S.'s leading free calling on the Internet service. Dialpad.com has signed up over 3 million members since October 1999.

Onebox.com has contracted to imbed ITXC technology to complement their unified messaging offer by adding outbound real-time voice calling as a service to its wholesale customers and the 2.5 million retail customers using its unified messaging portal.

Moreover, Onebox.com and ITXC have separately announced a partnership to offer wholesale unified messaging including real-time calls to the wholesale customers of both companies.

ITXC webtalkNOW! Service's turnkey offering includes no-charge licensing of a voice enabled web client or standalone PC application, wholesale routing, network management, and call accounting over ITXC.net.

For qualified customers which have already developed H.323 based web-to-phone solutions, the ITXC.net Certification Center verifies readiness for use over ITXC's standards-based, multi-vendor network.
