Albert Heijn to Implement Industri-Matematik/IBM Supply Chain Software Solution for Store Replenishment
WHITE PLAINS, N.Y., and STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Feb. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- IBM (NYSE: IBM) and Industri-Matematik International Corp. (Nasdaq: IMIC) today announced that Albert Heijn, the $5 billion Netherlands retailer, has selected VIVALDI(TM) software from Industri-Matematik in combination with IBM's MQ series to streamline its store replenishment process and increase on-shelf product availability. The joint supply chain solution will manage the replenishment of Albert Heijn's 680 supermarkets from its six large distribution centers in the Netherlands.
Albert Heijn will implement the solution to enable it to respond more quickly to changes in consumer preference and adapt shelf stock and availability accordingly. The software will enable the retailer to replenish store shelves immediately, keeping stock levels to a minimum and customer satisfaction at a maximum.
