Marlinman. . . LPTHA does not make routers. . .

CSCO makes routers. . . CS makes routers. . . Cisco routers are the industry standard. Lucent is going to soon release "all-optical" routers, which are said to be 10 times faster than Cisco routers. If they can keep up with demand, this could be the year when Cisco finally has competition. . . and frankly, I believe it will throw Cisco into a tailspin at some point in 2000 and resurrect LU. . .but that is my opinion.

LightPath makes GRADIUM lenses. . .and along with A.T. & T. own a company called LightChip which makes "optical switches". These switches are what we believe are used in the coming Lucent routers. This is speculation, based on facts and conjecture. Whether LPTHA's GRADIUM lenses are also used in the coming Lucent routers or not. . .I cannot say.

The optical switches or other products by LightPath and/or LightChip may or may not be used in Cisco or Lucent routers in the future. . .
But neither of these companies actually make routers, per se. . . nor are competition for CSCO. . . you should take some time out of trading and read some profiles on these companies. . .or visit their websites. . .you should at LEAST know and understand their primary products,IMO . . .especially when making trades based on subjective terms.

Best wishes,
