It is not clear to me how one can confidently talk about shorting in the current environment. Being overvalued (by historical measures) has definitely not been a good shorting strategy. Now if somebody knew something about pushing accounting limits (or something caught their eye in the financial statements) - like the one reported about Healtheon yesterday in the WSJ, I can understand as a rationale for shorting. If you feel confident about shorting SUN - why not short CSCO, EMC, SEBL, etc(its a serious question), all of which have seen their multiples expand 3-4 fold without the same leevl of acceleration in earnings.
