I would not blame the fragmentation of our society on Bill. I do think that we would have slipped a little further by not holding him accountable, and that the process, at least, was necessary. (I will lay aside the question of outcome)....I think you exaggerate the hedonistic and drug induced frenzy. But it is certainly true that we have, as a society, become too ethically oriented to "feelings", and lost some of our concern with "honor". I will say that I consider that part of the feminization of culture, among other things. But that is a whole other debate.....
