What they do is include the entire selling price of airline tickets as revenue, when they should in fact only be including the commission component.

This actually has huge implications on the valuation of the company, since many internet companies trade on multiples of revenue (as opposed to earnings, which most don't have).

Its quite an interesting manipulation of GAAP accounting rules.
