IntelliCorp Implements SAP-Based E-Solution for Hewlett Packard's Shopping Village

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 8, 2000--

Implementation of eCommerce Application, including Mass

Customization, Completed in Less than 3 Months

IntelliCorp (Nasdaq:INAI), a leading provider of eBusiness and CRM solutions for the SAP(TM) community, today announced the successful implementation of its Configure-to-Order Solution for HP's award winning "Shopping Village" consumer portal at shopping.hp.com.

IntelliCorp's Configure-to-Order Solution enables customers to purchase and configure personal computers from the HP ShoppingVillage web site. Customers have the ability to specify processor speed, hard disk size, and other features and are guided through the process. As a result of an order received via the web, each computer manufactured is built based on the customer's requirements.

IntelliCorp's Configure-to-Order Solution tightly integrates HP's eCommerce web site with HP's SAP R/3(R) implementation. This allows HP to streamline the direct sales cycle and reduce inventory costs. The solution makes use of the new mySAP.com(TM) Internet Pricing and Configurator (IPC) CRM component.

According to Michael Schmidt, HP eCommerce Project Manager, "IntelliCorp enabled us to leverage our R/3 implementation to take orders directly over the web for our configurable products. IntelliCorp has been a critical resource in completing this project successfully and quickly. They helped us through some performance issues that are critical for B2C eCommerce. With this solution we can now define a product feature in our ERP system and have it automatically available for customers on our web site."

"More than 20% of all SAP customers will require some configure-to-order capabilities over the Internet. Because IntelliCorp has been involved in nearly every implementation to date for SAP's Internet Pricing and Configurator technology, we look forward to helping other companies reap the benefits obtained by HP," said David Loeb, VP CRM Consulting of IntelliCorp.
