Hi David,
As I've accumulated more money, I have been buying deeper in the money options, even LEAPS. But I can see your point, as a large quantity certainly helps, and obviously we will only buy LEAPS on companies we really believe are going to do well, since we are betting on the future being bright for the company.
Incidentally I don't own EMC (it was one of the casualties when I was getting margin calls last spring and I never bought it back) but I'm about to because a small company I own is being bought by them. Don't think I'll own many shares though, as the stock is being bought for $10 and I only have 200 shares. But I'll keep them this time, I've gotten much more cautious and careful with margin, you bet!
