Hi Kumar,
Welcome home!!! That is great news about your Fab visit and that they are very happy with their AMAT equipment! Like Sam mentioned, Cary has been talking about a possible acquistion in the Lithography area. I agree, it sure looks like they wish to be a one-stop shop.
ASMLF is selling at about a PSR of 3.5. Their Price/Book is 8.4. SVGI has a PSR of about 1.1, and Price/Book of 1.2.......UTEK has a PSR of about 2.2 and Price/Book of 2.0. So, the bargain is SVGI....but they probably won't decide in that manner. Is ASMLF so cutting edge as to justify the higher valuation? I am going from memory here and it's a little fuzzy, but I think they paid 2.9 times sales for Opal.
Changing subjects on you, my Mother has sent me money to manage for her (HER IDEA, not mine) and so, on the next Dip in AMAT, I plan to buy her some. They sure do seem to be standing right smack in the path of progress!
So, Tito and Cary and everybody, who do we think fits best into Amat's plans?
Regards,
Teri
PS My husband says Pepcid (Merck) and Tagamet (SmithKline) both work equally well......I have to take his word for it, since, so far, I have a stomach of steal and don't use those things.
