Re: CREE - Blue Lasers The information you presented appeared in the March issue of a new magazine called Technology Investor on pg. 50. It was a sidebar to an article "Tapping the Wireless Market" in which they briefly compared CREE's SiC to gallium arsenice (GaAs). They noted that SiC can withstand a higher electrical field, thus increasing suitability for high-power devices, they can withstand higher temperatures and they can be placed very close together allowing more compact integrated circuits.
