The Alice Through The Looking Glass World of Ken Benes:

"Barrick is about increasing supply, regardless of market conditions. Despite yesterdays public relations hype, that is all it was, investors know that barrick is not working for its shareholders"

Only in the mind of Benes would this be considered anything other than stellar success - because it will lead to increased cash flow and exponential growth. And is in the interest of its shareholders. I hope you saw Russett's 15 year graph - or was it Bob's? But then you seem unaware that companies are in business to succeed, grow, increase market share, and enhance shareholder value. Bob posted a table showing that Barrick and others are trading at approx. 10 X cash flow. If cash flow per share increases 50 to 100 percent over the next few years don't you think the share price will follow? Especially as it seems that the multiple is historically low just now (I'm sure Bob has data on this somewhere)

Of course you could have made a lot of money in the Internet Stocks and had you done so good luck to you. But that is a different universe.
