David, I've got to disagree with a couple of your points.
Re: the pricing of the secondary and subsequent price action....six months or a year from now is what matters, not today or yesterday. I bought at the original IPO of 20 (5 adjusted for splits). The stock promptly went to 11 thereafter. How many people remember that? GSTRF, over it's life, has been pretty good to shareholders. I don't hold mgmt responsible for short term moves in the stock...they have enough to worry about managing the business (about which job, they've earned some criticism, for sure)
As for the subscriber forecast/handset production...I suppose mgmt's party line is that 550K handsets should be in users hands by year end (50K less than the number actually manufactured, in accordance with the cc guidance.) Clearly, that number is soft, but, imo, handsets are not the issue, Gateways and corresponding points of sales presence are the issue.
Regards, RS
PS. Hey,how about that launch anyway? |
