the announcements i expect are of 2 varieties... 1> lp.com will be launching at least 25 and perhaps as many as 35 local travel websites in 2000...there will be press associated with every launch... 2> there will be announcements of joint ventures, collaborations, cross promotions...you know, the usual useless fluff that passes for company pr these days...i am a cynic at heart as you know, grin, but in the current enviornment with all that will be happening with lp.com, lphl could really explode... by the way, do you have any mrvc...i do not own any but i got my dad 24,000 shares in the fall of '98 when mr pink and his gang plus an earnings blowup sent the stock to under 6 bucks... he has not sold a single share and with it in the 70s now he is a happy father...anyway, mrvc has 5 possible ipo spinoffs in the next 12-18 months...i think a split is coming soon...they announce earnings on feb. 22 i believe...might happen then...stock might end up the year at 300 or so if the mania for fiber optics continues... good luck... steve
