I think that is absolutely right.

Do you remember " Long-Term Capital Management (LTCM)" failure in fall of 1998?
Just watched Nova on PBS TV. LTCM had the dream team, former Fed Vice chairman, nobel prize winner, top Salomon bond managers....
But only after 4 years, they failed, I mean they lost billions of dollars in just one month.
Their mathmatical hedging formula didn't anticipated turmoils in Asia and Russia.

I keep trying to make some type of formula for trading stocks, but I guess each stock is a different animal and have to treat accordingly.

Guess there is no easy way...;o)
