Ice, even if we're reinventing - I doubt that most SI contributors know about the documentation available about netiquette. Or if they are aware, that they have read it - it is quite lengthy. Suggested rules and methods of reply that we have come up with ourselves are more likely to be followed than those that come from the posted authority. They are also more relevant to our situation at SI. I suggest we discuss the lack of distinction pointed out by Greg. Then, after renewed agreement has been reached, post the location of our findings on other threads as the need arises. Greg's netiquette link could be referred to as optional reading. I suspect most fellow SI denizens do not yet know there is a wheel. Gottfried
