LOCKPORT, N.Y., Feb 9, 2000 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- The global
presence of Delphi Automotive Systems' (NYSE: DPH) proven thermal
management technology continues to expand with the announcement today
of a key licensing agreement.

Delphi's Harrison Thermal division has signed a technical license
agreement (TLA) with Tripac International related to the manufacture of
automotive heat exchange components. The agreement allows Tripac
International access to Delphi's patented air conditioning technology,
having acquired the rights to manufacture and market various designs
within the condenser and evaporator families.

Based in Fort Worth, Texas, Tripac International manufactures and
supplies a variety of automotive cooling products to the automotive,
heavy duty, off- road and special niche markets. Tripac's current
primary product line is engine cooling and condensing motor, fan and
shroud assemblies. It will manufacture Delphi's condensers and
evaporators at its manufacturing subsidiary in Sydney, Australia,
according to company president Stephen O'Brien.

(Housed primarily at the front of the vehicle, air conditioning
condensers change refrigerant vapor to liquid through the removal of
heat. Evaporators, part of the in-dash heating, ventilation and air
conditioning module, change liquid refrigerant to vapor, and cool the
inside of the vehicle.)

The TLA brings the manufacture of Delphi's advanced air conditioning
technology to Australia for the first time. The company already exports
air conditioning compressors and other items to Australia from its
international operations.

"This agreement allows us to continue growing our bottom line through
an alliance with a globally-focused company, and gives us the
opportunity to work with Tripac to expand our influence in the heat
exchanger market," said Ronald M. Pirtle, Delphi Thermal president and
Delphi Automotive Systems vice president.

"Delphi's proven technology will allow us to better serve our customers
by providing world-class products tailored to meet their specific needs,
" said O'Brien, whose company will market the Delphi-based products
primarily in Australia.
