Burnie has resigned as President and Director of the Company

First American Scientific Corp. OTC - BB (FASC)

VANCOUVER, Feb. 8 /CNW-PRN/ - First American Scientific Corporation (OTC BB: FASC) wishes to announce that
effective immediately Mr. Gary Burnie has resigned as President and Director of the Company.

Mr. C. L. Kantonen, the sole remaining Director of the Company, will assume the position of President and Chairman of the
Board. Mr. Kantonen wishes to advise the shareholders that it is business as usual and that he is in firm control of the operation.

The Company wishes to recognize Gary for his valuable contributions over the last ten months and looks forward to an
ongoing, productive relationship as he continues to advise the Company and assist management with issues pertaining to the
stock market.

As the Company enters a new phase in its development, it was considered appropriate to turn control of the day-to-day
operations over to the administrative capabilities of Mr. Kantonen.
