Microsoft to provide information sought by EU

BRUSSELS, Feb 9 (Reuters) - Microsoft Corp <MSFT.O> said it
looked forward to providing information requested by the
European Union as part of a probe into whether the U.S. software
giant's new operating system breaks EU competition law.
"We received the request for information. They have asked us
to provide the information by the beginning of March and we look
forward to doing that," John Frank, Microsoft's European
director of law and corporate affairs, told Reuters from Paris.
"We have shared a wide variety of technical information
about Windows 2000 broadly with software developers, customers
and competitors," he said.
