Bill,
I'm sure the commission charges are in line with other brokerages. I don't control as much $$ as you do perhaps soon in the future?
I was just wondering if it was possible to place a hedge position with a discount brokerage as I was might know which cv. I will be investing in.

I don't think I payed anything for shorting the underlying stock? I am sure the short sale of the underlying stock of a cv. does not require one to put up any money.

I checked it seems the maturity date of Magna is 5july2005. I know after the company calls a cv I have at least sixty days before I need to do anything.

Bill, what do you think of occasionaly placing some hedge candidates on the thread and explaining the thought processes of choosing the canditates so that others might see how the hedge position is designed.
It would certainly help in popularise cv's? I'm by far no expert, but enjoy hedge positions.
Thought about writing options against your hedge positions?

There is a way of placing your hedge position in your RRSP you know.

Speak to you soon,

Jack
