Supports accelerated research for and deployment of both theater missile defenses and national missile defense, as soon as possible
Prepared to cancel ABM treaty with Russia if unable to convince Russia to amend the treaty to allow deployment of missile defense systems within a short period of time
Would strengthen our intelligence community's ability to detect terrorist threats, and develop long-range strike capabilities to eliminate such threats before they arise
