Damn, it seems like a hard decision of whether to
sell my COMS now (hold for 1 year and half by now)
and go for PALM IPO directly, or hold on for
another six months and receive PALM from 3COM


Why not sell some COMS after the IPO and buy some PALM with the proceeds? That way you dont have to wait for 6 months and are also protected against the sudden drop in COMS after the distribution (when approximately 99% of people holding COMS will be selling? <g>)

It occurs to me that buying COMS a couple of days or so after the distribution will be a good time to get some cheap as most of is dumped immediately after the distribution. Hold for a few weeks and then sell again when it regains its natural level. Which is what? $25 maybe?
