Re: News feeds and SI in Europe

I would say that it is of strategic importance for GNET to become a partner in this deal:

siliconinvestor.com

They can multiply the number of SI members and integrate further with Reuters and Multex.

Multex now has a lousy bulletin board and they could do the same as DNB some days ago, make SI their board:
multex.multexinvestor.com

It is fun to predict these types of relationship, it is even more fun to predict who's going to pay who. With DNB and Hasbro they are going to pay GNET. What is the power position of GNET related to Multex. Multex needs a board, SI is the top board on the net. Multex has the research.
I would say GNET would get all the Multex research for free and a license fee for "seamlessly integrating" the SI technology into the Multex site.

The same may apply for the news feeds from Reuters, which is a global news leader, owner of Instinet and of many other financial information resources.

But the most important part is to add large numbers of quality posters to SI and to become global. Therefor, getting onto this European site is strategic and may cost money.

This is the year to become big, strong and global.
