If you were holding AAPL when it dropped to 12 amid merger/sale rumors and then decided to sell it...you would be kicking yourself now. I know this might be old strategy in light of the internet stock mindset, but "buy and hold" may not be a bad idea here. Close your eyes and ignore it for 6 months. A year and a half ago MOT was languishing in the low 40's/high 30's for over 6 months...this week it hit 160. And...you really have a short memory if you don't recall when AOL went to the universal $19.95 pricing scheme, had massive server and overload problems and the stock promptly dropped to $20 a share and stayed there for the next few months.
