[Common Sense] Kelly

>>It is possible that GTE's planners understand that installation costs exceed capital equipment costs on a per connection basis; therefore their mindset is probably the same as mine - buy all the power (speed) you can afford at the point in time when you absolutely have to have it - knowing that demand will expand to fill available
capacity.
Let's hope thay have some common sense.<<

Kelly-

Good Points!

"Common sense" Something that I have found lacking in more people than I had thought when I was younger.

Why would you want to start with IDSL, SDSL, HSDL, when one Product can achieve, and exceed all the rest. So what if ADSL is not symmetrical, you can still run faster both upstream and down stream, with ADSL than you can with SDSL or HDSL.

Be prepared for the near future, why wait to upgrade, when you know what coming, Broadcast Video to the PC and TV via that old Copper Gold mine. It makes even more sense when the cost is ( or soon will be) in the same ball park. Of course some like to spend money over an over upgrading. It's hard to believe that the Industry will be bend over, and get a taste of what they have been doing to consumers.

Common Sense - a commodity sorely lacking in this world.
