lkj,
I suspect that COMS is little more than an afterthought to CSCO. COMS business is so different today that COMS that product overlap is minimal. Remember - COMS is focusing on the edge - modems, NIC, cable modems, DSL modems, etc. Yes, the have the corebuilder9000 - that's about the only competitive product. The NBX is a joke (contrary to popular belief here - but this will become more apparent as accurate market share figures emmerge this year).
Still, the PALM IPO will be huge (I think) and COMS is still a very good value - even as a modem manufacturer (regardless if it's V.90, cable, DSL, or wireless...still edge devices). If I'm wrong and COMS succeeds in spinning up a real networking busienss it's just gravy; but even without it we'll see more upside.
Funny, I recall saying a while back that I'd sell at 60. Hmmmm, well I guess I was wrong there :) And happy to be wrong. I'll hold a while longer.... selling 1/3 pre-IPO, 1/3 within 3 days post-IPO and 1/3...don't know yet.
