SAMSYS TECHNOLOGIES INC - Receives Certification for its Multi-Protocol, Multi-Frequency RFID Reader [33]

SAMSys Technologies Inc. ("the Company") announced that the
certification process required for sale of its recently announced patent
filing for a Multi-Protocol, Multi-Frequency Radio Frequency Identification
(RFID) reader product, has been successfully completed.
The Company's proprietary and industry leading RFID reader product
known as the Interrogator Control Module ("ICM"), has completed
verification testing as a Class A Digital Device and is in compliance with
the US Agency Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Part 15 Sub part B
and CISPR22 A. In addition, the ICM has been successfully tested for
Electromagnetic Compatibility and Immunity, and Generic Immunity and
complies with the European Standard EN 50082.1 (1997). With these tests
successfully completed the ICM may now be sold (for non residential use) in
both North America and Europe.
Furthermore the Company also reports that Hamel Davidson Corporation,
its' principal technical development contractor and manufacturer has
recently become ISO-9001 certified. Accordingly, the Company's products may
also be offered with the same certification.

The ICM is the control unit, which manages both the communications
protocols and the flow of data, which is exchanged between the tags and the
reader. It supports the various RF modules, which supply power to the tags,
both for reading data from the tag and writing new data to the tag. It is
entirely modular, and frequency independent, thereby enabling for the first
time, an operating environment wherein tags operating under a variety of
manufacturer-specific protocols, and at any frequency, can be interrogated
harmoniously within a single field simultaneously.
The company recently announced the filing of a patent covering both the
device itself, as well as the architecture supporting same.
In the absence of worldwide standards, the Company believes that the
availability of such a device dramatically enhances the willingness of
end-users to implement RFID solutions, without fear of premature
obsolescence.
