MONEY'S MUSHROOMS
Burnaby BC, February 9, 2000 - Mr. Bill Ste. Marie, President and Chief Executive Officer of Group West Systems Ltd., an Application Service Provider ("ASP"), is pleased to announce the company has signed an agreement to provide a variety of services to Money's Mushrooms Ltd. ("Money's") in connection with their recent acquisition of fresh mushroom, spawn and supplement business from Vlasic Foods International. This agreement involves Consulting, Project Management and Technical services to assist Money's in transitioning Vlasic's systems, as well as rationalizing existing systems into a corporate standard.
Money's is a privately held company that produces fresh and processed mushrooms for North America and offshore customers. The company employs 3,000 people in its North American operations. The combined US and Canadian operations now has annual sales of over $320 million.
Mr. Don Bernard, Chief Financial Officer for Money's stated, "Group West is providing invaluable services to not only stabilize our existing environment, but to integrate a whole new company into our IT strategy."
