firstunionsec.com Fed may reconsider margin requirements after March and May meetings. The apparent problem is that as long as Wall Street can successfully promote the tech stocks, either thru IPOs or secondary offerings, the interest rate hikes effects may be limited to the "real economy" stocks. The inflation problem is most noticeable in those regions of the country where the "new economy" companies are concentrated.
