[Partnerships]

Pat,

Thanks for your reply on anticipated partnerships. Amati has stated
they are after the business market... so I believe we should
extend are "desired partnerships" to include the data natetworking
world. If we truly are looking for "Amati Inside" here are the
players to watch for (based on market share) and a new one (Intel)
who wants a piece of the market:

Corporate America networking world (Fortune 4/14/97 page 200):
------------------------------------------------------------
Network Interface Cards (Corporate Lan's)
1) 3COM
2) Intel

Hubs (Corp Lans)
1) Bay
2) 3COM
3) Cabletron

Eithernet Switches (Corp Lans)
1) Cisco
2) 3 COM
3) Cabletron

Routers
1) Cisco

Frame Relay Switches (ISP's)
1) Cascade
2) Cisco

ATM Switches (Internet Backbone)
1) Newbridge
2) Cisco
3) Cascade
4) Fore

Remote Access Devices (ISP's)
1) US Rbotics
2) Ascend

Modems (Home)
1) US Robotics

BUT - Look at Intel...announcments made in April !!
---------------------------------------------------
I would keep an eye on Intel / Microsoft ...Intel wants to be a
PLAYER in "networking value chain"...see recent press releases.
Andy Grove / Bill Gates love "free bandwidth"....and we all know
ADSL could be their new best friend.

1)Intel/Microsoft - video & audio products over the internet (4/28
---------------------------------------------------------------
biz.yahoo.com

2)Intel - networking on a chip (4/21
----------------------------------
biz.yahoo.com

3)Intel - Announces 10/100mb hubs -- Intel vs. Bay & 3COM? (4/21)
--------------------------------------------------------
intel.com

4)Intel - Announces Fast Eithernet Switching (4/15)
