I don't know if anyone can help me, but I have a printing problem that has just come up. It usually occurs in Netscape, but can occur from a Adobe Acrobat as well. Once it occurs, then I cannot print from any program and have to reboot. Dr. Watson says the following:

------------------------------

Windows Graphics Device Interface core component accessed memory improperly or encountered some nonspecific error.

Module Name: gdi.exe
Description: Windows Graphics Device Interface core component
Version: 4.10.2222
Product: Microsoft(R) Windows(R) Operating System
Manufacturer: Microsoft Corporation

Application Name: Netscape.exe
Description: Netscape Navigator application file
Version: 4.70.0.26
Product: NETSCAPE
Manufacturer: Netscape Communications Corporation

--------------------
If the Taskbar is behaving strangely, try exiting IMGICON.

Module Name: IMGICON.EXE
Description: IMGICON
Version: 6, 1, 1, 1
Product: Iomega Corp. IMGICON 6.1p
Manufacturer: Iomega Corp.

As you can see there are two files that apparently cause trouble, GDI.EXE and KERNEL32.DLL. I have copied those from another machine and overwrote the files on my machine. That still did not help. I have reloaded WIN 98, and Netscape....to no avail.

I am wondering if I have a bad memory chip?

Any thoughts on what to do or how to go about diagnosing the problem further?

Thanks to all.

Scott
