Ford, Delta giving 400,000 employees new PCs. Not internet terminals. Count on at least $250 revenues for each of these. That is a cool $100 million to MSFT. But this is only the tip of the ice berg. The trend is going to spread to industry. Did you guys notice. In Japan, PC penetration is 28% is expected to double in 2 years. PC sales in Jan was outstanding, and grew over 25%, imo, after December Y2K lull. Windows 2000 is already selling like hotcake, even before launch.
