I think it should be in the Globe as well . Here is the RB post. JAWZ at ISPCon in Toronto I had a brief chance to drop by the ISPCon (Internet World Convention)in Toronto yesterday. Jaws was there in the ISP section in what I would say was a modest booth but with an interesting twist. The booth was located across from Telus as someone had previously indicated and was manned by a number of Directors from Jaws (Strategic Alliances, Internet Services, Network Services) who were answering questions and distributing a CD containing a live copy of X-Mail, White Papers, PR stuff (video etc.). It is a pretty good package and they seemed to be getting some interest. The twist which was getting significant interest was their demonstration. They we doing 'ethical hack' demonstrations in which a Jaws employee was breaking into protected sites. Very topical I must say. I did not see the demo as I had to get back to work but a number of people were talking about it and the guys from Jaws said they were mobbed during the demos. Makes sense given the current events in the news. As far as the information I was provided I don't think there was anything which has not been mentioned here. Some points worth noting.. They did meet with institutional investors last week in Toronto, New York and Boston. The tour is continuing this month with a trip to Calif. and Florida among 'others' They are moving their offices to Toronto and plan on hiring another 100 people taking the total to over 250 No comment on the Nasdaq listing... working on it They plan on releasing a product this quarter which works with Outlook, Lotus Notes etc. on the server not client side which will allow for rapid deployment of security in a network environment They are getting a number of calls regarding this recent situation so they are on the radar screen They are apparently down to a short list on the search for a VP Marketing who will lead the efforts in the media They have entered an industry group I cannot remember the name (IPN, INP ???) and they entered at the highest level which is apparently giving them access to a number of people that they would not have had in the past. The Strategic Alliance Director was very happy about the opportunity the provides. Finally, they indicated to look for 'something' coming out on the 15th of this month. A 'nice announcement'. It could be nothing at all and I am not trying to Hype here I am just passing along what I was told. Though there is no ground-breaking news here after going to the show I am even more confident in my investment decision. I continue to be long and optimistic.
