This stock is obviously without any staying power or momentum behind it lately..
When markets go up, it's lackluster...
When markets correct, it corrects a lot more than the others.
Pretty boring, but that's life.
I do have a good bit of infor to talk about though...
Has anybody noticed, in a previous posting last week, that the incredible team that did the E-Commerce IT Infrastructure at dell is doing the same for JDSU..
Dell's secret has been their I2-based spectacular CRM/ERP implementation, which enable them to dominate an industry.
It created a marked competitive advantage to Dell, the secret of it's built-to-order model, it's incredible ROIC (280%+), it's negative inventory turnover (it gets payment BEFORE it pay it's suppliers etc etc..)
This same IT team is now at JDS , implementing the same type of system. That could be pretty big now ?
It could provide more profitability, enable it to make more sales & meet demand. It could wond perhaps mortally ( a la ComPaq) companies like LU & NT.
I was just surprised that nobody seemed to pick up on it, and that could be significant. or Maybe, I am totally out to lunch !
