from recent posts it appears that many on the thread open and close positions randomly. every stock has its rhythm, and that is the factor that moves the underlying from over bought to oversold. easy to succeed buying calls randomly in a fast moving momentum issue in a favorable market, but in the case of both msft and cmgi, they appear to indicate a probability of short term flat to down movement, which equates to the ability to buy at a lower price. takes a great deal of discipline and play the probabilities, waiting for the proper moment, but it can mean the difference between profit and loss...
