I agree with most of your comments. What this thread fails to appreciate IMHO, (and that includes me) is the degree to which EP and EM hurt cpq from an investment perspective. Their lies, deceit and trickery will burden new management for months. What they did is about as close to the kiss of death as one can get. About the only thing worse is having to restate past earnings due to accounting fraud. I am repeatedly astonished by the extent to which others tell me they are staying away due to a "lack of trust" issue. EP and EM were very effective at drying up a good chunk of demand for cpq.

To the credit of MC I have to say that he has slightly improved the trust issue but unfortunately he has a lot of work ahead of him. Trust doesn't come over night.
