Oro Belle - Las Flechas Drilling Encounters Significant
Anomalous Gold, Silver and Base Metal Mineralization -
Drilling Continues at La Coipita and Salamanca

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--Oro Belle Resources Corporation today
announced the completion of the Las Flechas Project drilling
program and the receipt of a portion of the assay results. The
Las Flechas Project is located in northwestern Argentina and is
held through a 50 percent interest in Minas Argentinas, S.A.
("MASA"). IMA Resource Corporation (VSE:IRU) owns the other 50
percent of MASA.

Core drilling of 16 holes totalling 1,791 metres was completed in
late March. The purpose of this drilling was to test the
northcentral and south gold zones. Assay results for gold have
been received for all but one of the holes, and for silver and
base metals for nine holes. Anomalous gold (+100 ppb) was
encountered in 14 of the holes, and seven of the first nine holes
contain significant base metal values with intervals of up to 6
percent zinc, 1 percent lead and 0.4 percent copper.

Initial analysis of the high levels of and zonation base metals
and the anomalous gold values suggests that the drilling
encountered the edge of a potentially large, high sulphidization
epithermal gold- bearing system. MASA is encouraged by the type
and extent of mineralization discovered, which will provide
valuable guidance for further exploration efforts. During the
coming months, MASA will conduct further work to design a
follow-up drilling program, likely to be centered in an area to
the northeast of the recently drilled area.

MASA has also completed six holes of a nine hole, 2,000-metre
drilling program at its La Coipita Project, also in northwestern
Argentina. MASA expects to complete the program within one week
and have assay results by early May. La Coipita exploration has
focussed on a 10-square kilometre zone of alteration and
mineralization, and particularly on a one and one-half by two and
one-half kilometre area of silicified and brecciated rhyolite
adjacent to Barrick Gold's Coipita Project in Chile. This area
has been mapped in detail and sampled by an extensive system of
road trenches. An IP and magnetic survey has been completed over
a two square kilometre portion of the area.

At the Salamanca project, MASA is currently mobilizing technical
personnel and equipment to clear access roads as preparation to
commencing a second drilling program of fill-in and step-out
drilling at its Salamanca prospect. At this location a seven-hole
drilling program in 1996 discovered a sediment-hosted skarn
related mineralization zone with a strike length of over 600
metres and a thickness of up to 85 metres. Individual gold assays
ranged to over 7.0 gpt and the best intercept was 36.4 metres with
a gold grade of 2.15 gpt, including 19.5 metres at 3.28 gpt.
Recent IP and magnetic surveys suggest possible extensions both
north and south along strike.

Sample preparation and assaying for the past two years on these
projects have been carried out by the established and reputable
firm of Bondar Clegg, which has a preparation facility in Mendoza.
Bondar Clegg uses fire assays for gold at its La Serena, Chile
facility and ICP and other analyses in Vancouver.

Part of a larger group of companies headed by proven gold producer
Viceroy Resource Corporation, Oro Belle is engaged in the
acquisition, exploration and development of mineral properties
throughout South America, with primary focus on Argentina.
