Company Press Release Napier International Technologies Inc. Announces Truco & Crown Launch Spray Cans VANCOUVER, British Columbia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 10, 2000-- Napier Intl Tech(TSE:NIR. - news)
Napier International Technologies Inc. (TSE:NIR - news; www.napierintl.com), is pleased to report the receipt of its first orders in spray can packaging for two separate distributors.
The initial orders have been placed by Truco Enterprises based in Dallas, Texas to market the product under the brand name ``Removall' and by North American Professional Products (NAPP) located in Woodstock, Illinois, which will market the product under the Crown brand name.
Truco's order is a direct result of the strong market response from dealers at the National Automotive Convention in December which placed immediate orders that included Napier's paint stripper and Plexi-Plus Graffiti Remover. The products are being sold into the Paint Body and Equipment markets in 400 gram spray cans as specialty removers for detail work, plastic bumper strippers and for over-spray removers. Truco will also be providing product for the first testing into their retail market segment which includes customer accounts like Costco, Sam's Club, Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Target, Sears and Penny's.
Napier has also granted Truco the opportunity to run a major promotional and advertising campaign for the products on national television home shopping channels to increase the public awareness as to the multitude of benefits for using Napier's environmentally friendly and effective formulations. This campaign will also assist in product placement on the retail shelf and brand name recognition.
NAPP will market their products into the light industrial market, which will include manufacturing plants, mills, mines, electronic shops, and repair and maintenance facilities.
Due to the lead time required for spray can packaging, both companies' orders are expected to increase significantly as they will also be launching similar products in brushing grade formulas for larger that the two companies have been granted varying opportunities to pursue markets in Europe, South America, China, Japan, the Australasian market, Mexico, India and Saudi Arabia, these orders should be the virtual tip of the iceberg.
Even having stated the above, the initial order for 45,000 cans represents the largest number of packaged units ever booked by Napier at one time. In dollar terms the order placed a close second to the value booked during the I.C.I. United States launch program initiated in September, 1999.
Details can be gained by calling Jason Cubitt or Don Mosher at Napier (604) 801-6664.
