Steve, I think you might have erred shorting AMD, it is a "value" stock which might, finally become a growth stock. Based on valuation it is quite cheap, compare to INTC selling at a PSR of more than 10, AMD is not selling at much more than 1.5 to 2 PSR, and they are winning some battles in the CPU sector. Their Dresden operations is said to be extremely efficient, so their margins might finally improve. The last quarter was (ginally) in the green, and they have a good chance of selling a billion per quarter. If it breaches the $45, it will be an all time high and could position the stock to "peer" valuation, thus $90 would not be impossible. Short term, $45 is still a very strong resistance and it must actually get above it to become bullish, if it does, I would have a target of $85 to $95 within this year.
