This is perhaps a two-edged sword because these attacks will also spur capital expenditures on security technology and drive innovation. I doubt these attacks will be viewed by the market as a serious threat to profitability en masse. Bwdik. Even though no technology exists, yet, to defend against this "external" denial-of-service vandalism, the fear these attacks generate can only benefit companies like these:
