LT: Actually my skin is just fine. A lot of insults are dished out on this thread directly or by inference, by many of the patrons of this thread toward individuals they feel do not trade or invest up to their standards. The insults are all done under the guise of humor, but I suspect few of the folks that are the butt of the supposed humor find it funny. Of course, most don't even know they have been the subject of ridicule!
Like I said, I once new a group of "kids" that got their kicks by ridiculing others behind their back. They would often congregate in a group and ridicule individuals while they were just far enough out of range so they could not quite understand what they were saying. The ones being ridiculed realized something was being said about them, noticing the group glances and following laughter. Many of us knew what they were up too, but found them to pathetic to confront!
The truth was, if they could have stepped out of their own shoes and took a good look at their own group, they would have realized they were the "real" clowns.
Some times they angered me, but for the most part I felt sorry for them. I could not imagine anyone having such a poor self-image, they felt the need to spend most of their free time ridiculing others.
Sad as it may seem, I guess some of those kids do grow up still not having cultivated a healthy self-image. Even as adults, they still have the need to ridicule others in order to feel good about them selves.
How sad...HO HO HO!
