Nora Exploration appoints three new directors

Thursday Feb 10 2000 Mr. Pierre Leveille reports The company has appointed Chris von Christierson, Hugh Snyder and Jurgen Kogl to the board of directors of Nora. They bring many years of experience in the resource industry and financial markets that will contribute to the future development and growth of the corporation.
Mr. von Christierson, Bcomm, Rhodes; MA, Cambridge, has over 28 years of experience in the exploration and mining industry. Mr. von Christierson has been the chairman of Rio Narcea Gold Mines Limited since 1994, a non-executive director of Gold Fields Limited since February, 1999, and is a director of Southern Prospecting (UK) Limited. As chief executive officer of Rio Narcea Gold Mines Limited from 1994 to early 1999, Mr. von Christierson was instrumental in establishing Rio Narcea as an important European gold exploration and mining company.
Mr. Snyder, BSc Eng, has over 30 years of technical and financial experience in the resource industry. Mr. Snyder has been the president of H.R. Snyder Consultants since 1985. Mr. Snyder is also a director of several publicly traded companies, including Rio Narcea Gold Mines Limited; Southern Cross Resources Inc., an uranium exploration company in South Australia; and Trans Hex International Ltd, the Canadian listed subsidiary of the Trans Hex Group of South Africa. Mr. Snyder has also been a director of GBC North America Growth Fund Inc., a small cap fund managed by Pembroke Management since 1979.
Mr. Kogl is a South African businessman with 20 years of experience in South African financial markets. Mr. Kogl is a founding director of Khula Consulting (Pty) Limited, a strategic consultancy company established in 1995, that maintains various mandates for a number of transnational companies operating in Southern Africa, as well as major South African companies. Mr. Kogl serves on the board of several other companies and trusts.
